Quantecom manages a fund (FIE fund) that aims to achieve long term appreciation in the value of its assets providing absolute returns. The fund seeks to achieve its objective through implementation of an investment models based on both technical analysis and macroeconomic research. The principals of the firm have developed an advanced investment decision model based on leading macroeconomics models, technical analysis and quantitative research. Each investment decision, for every asset, is made using a scoring model that combines between buy and sell signals that come from both macroeconomic models and technical analysis. The combination between different forecast methods ensures a higher rate of success in finding markets directions. The models are dynamic and are evaluated according to market developments, changes in statistical links between assets, developments in macroeconomic environment and new quantitative and technical analysis theories. The leverage of each asset, the direction and the allocation between asset classes are made using an advanced optimization process. A strict diversification policy between assets is in place in order to limit the downside risk due to extraordinary events, which may happen from time to time. The fund will not be involved in stock picking, but rather invest in major indices in order to achieve superior returns.
