Yaron Pitaru – CEO

Founding Principal and CEO of Quantecom, Yaron Pitaru is responsible for all of Quantecom investment models. Prior to founding Quantecom Capital, Yaron worked at Prisma Investment house as a CIO. He was in charge of research, investment and risk management for all the Prisma activity (around $12bn). Prior to joining Prisma, Yaron worked at Bank Leumi, the biggest Israeli Bank, where he managed all the investment activity (CIO) of Leumi provident fund (around $9bn AUM). Before that Yaron worked in leading investment companies in Israel. He was CIO at Kahal ($3bn AUM) and Head of Research at Ofek. During the last 20 years, Yaron has developed several investment decision models based on both macroeconomics and technical analysis. He holds an MBA, specialized in Finance and a BA in Economics from Tel Aviv University. Yaron holds a portfolio manager license from the Israel Security Authority (ISA)


Liliya Shapira – Chief Economist

Liliya joined Quantecom in 2009, at the inception of the company, as the Head of Macroeconomic Research. Prior to joining Quantecom, Liliya worked at Prisma Investment House and at Provident Funds of Bank Leumi, as a Macroeconomist. Liliya has a ten years experience in Macroeconomic research, particularly in developing economic statistical models which supported investment decisions. Liliya holds MA in Economics from the Tel Aviv University, specializing in finance and macroeconomics, and BA in Economics and Communication from the Tel Aviv University.


Natan Katz – Senior Algorithm Programmer

Natan has joined Quantecom in 2009, as a software developer. Prior to joining Quantecom, Natan has spent four years in the biometric industry as a programmer and machine learning researcher.  In the past, Natan has spent one year as a scientist in Goethe University in Frankfurt, and worked in Gilat satellite as a protocol simulation programmer. He has a broad knowledge in scientific programming, statistical algorithms and pattern recognition applications.  He holds a B.sc in mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a M.sc degree in applied math and CS from Weizmann Institute, there he has specialized in nonlinear dynamics.
